Fall cocktails warming you up one drink at a time.  The temps are getting cooler, pumpkins are everywhere and it’s time to switch up our recipe ingredients.

Fall cocktail recipes are when I switch from the main ingredient being limoncello, strawberries and raspberries to all things apple, pumpkin and cinnamon.

We created fall cocktail recipes for every type of liquor drinker.  You know we typically lean toward vodka cocktails, but here we have fall cocktail recipes featuring vodka, whiskey and gin.

Fall Cocktails

We are crazed with creating boozy ice cubes.  We love them for so many reasons.  First of all, each person can control the strength and taste of their own drink.  Second, it’s so easy to just have on hand and ready for any spontaneous celebration.

We’ve continued to create these boozy ice cube recipes into the fall and are loving them.  I will say, if you don’t want to create boozy ice cubes, these actually also make delicious cocktails.  Create the fall cocktail recipes as stated below, don’t freeze it and top with your favorite bubbly.

Fall Cocktail Recipes

Fall Vodka Cocktails

Vodka is my favorite liquor so I tend to lean heavily on it when creating new cocktails.  It’s so versatile and easy to pair with just about any flavor.  And with the array of flavors, it’s a whole lot of fun trying to figure out what to create and top with bubbly.

Sweet Harvest Bubbly

This delicious fall vodka cocktail is not too sweet and is definitely fall in a glass topped with bubbly.
  • 4 oz Spiced Apple Cider
  • 2 oz Ginger Beer
  • 1 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 1 oz Apple vodka
  • 1/2 oz Caramel Vodka
  • Bubbly
  1. Add all ingredients to a measuring cup or cocktail shaker.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour into an ice cube mold.
  4. Freeze Overnight.
  5. Add 3-5 ice cubes to a champagne glass and top with your favorite bubbly.

Tip:  If you like a really sweet cocktail, top this with an extra dry or dry bubbly.  And you can add another 1/2 oz of caramel as well.

Fall Whiskey Cocktails

We’ve been wanting to add bubbly whiskey cocktails for a while now, but a bit afraid to try it.  Wow, are we happy we did.  These are very similar cocktails with very different tastes and we can not decide which one we like better.

Golden Apple Sparkler

  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour into an ice cube mold.
  4. Freeze Overnight.
  5. Add 4-6 ice cubes* to a champagne glass and top with your favorite bubbly.

*We used the small round ice cube maker on these where 2 balls = 1/2 oz.

Autumn Fizz

Fall whiskey cocktails with ice cubes, of course, because we can't stop the craze!
  • 5oz  Spiced Apple Cider
  • 3 oz Ginger Beer
  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • Bubbly
  1. Add all ingredients to a measuring cup or cocktail shaker.
  2. Stir to combine.
  3. Pour into an ice cube mold.
  4. Freeze Overnight.

When we tasted this creation with 3 ice cubes topped with bubbly, one of the tasters said, “fall cocktails, like a hug in a glass.”

Fall Sangria

This is probably the easiest sangria you will ever make.  We did that intentionally.  Some times you have just a few hours notice before a spontaneous celebration and you want to create something fun.

What we loved best about this fall sangria is while it reminded us a bit of a mulled wine, it wasn’t super heavy on the spices like a mulled wine can be.

Harvest Cider Sangria

The easiest fall cocktail recipe you will ever make. This fall themed sangria is super easy and oh so delicious.
  • 1 Bottle of Red Wine-7 Moons Red Blend
  • 3 oz Spiced Apple Cider
  • 2.5 oz Brandy
  • 1 Diced Apple
  • Bubbly
  1. Add all ingredients to your favorite pitcher.  Stir well.
  2. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or as long as overnight.
  3. Either, pour a glass of sangria and top with bubbly or add one bottle of bubbly to the pitcher and stir before serving.

Fall Gin Cocktails

I will admit, I don’t think of gin often for fall cocktails, mostly winter cocktails because most gin just reminds me of a Christmas tree.  But this drink is absolute perfection for this time of year.

Sweet Maple

Fall gin cocktails because gin isn't just for the winter.
  • 1-1  1/2 oz Empress 1908 Gin
  • 3/4 oz Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 oz Root 23 Maple Cinnamon Simple Syrup
  • Bubbly
  • Cinnamon Stick
  1. In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine gin, lemon juice and simple syrup.
  2. Pour into your favorite champagne glass.
  3. Top with sparkling wine.
  4. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.

Cocktail Supplies

We try to make our cocktails as simple as possible, but we do use some key tools to make them such as a cocktail shaker and muddler.  Honestly though, you can do a lot with a set of measuring cups and spoons.

But if you’d like to up your game a bit, we do have an Bubbly Side of Life Amazon Storefront where we house all of our favorite tools to create all of our delicious cocktail creations.  (Yes, I do receive a small commission if you choose to shop from the storefront, but you won’t pay anything more.)

We also make frequent visits to stores like the Dollar Tree for inexpensive items to needed to host such as ice buckets, disposable champagne glasses for tastings, plates and napkins.  And we’ve been known to stalk the Target Dollar Spot to add that holiday touch to our celebrations.
