To be honest, I put this tasting room on our schedule for one reason only…they have a wine in a can called “Adulting” and I knew I needed to experience it.

You see, I was in Woodinville, WA for an event and since it’s a very cute little wine country, I knew we needed to spend the day experiencing it. There was one little hiccup…this is a wine region with a very little selection of bubbly.

I searched and searched and found one winery, Chateau Ste. Michelle with bubbly and then put Alexandria Nicole Cellars on the list for the photo opp with Adulting.  And that was about it.

Much to my excitement, Adulting is a sparkling wine!  WOO HOO!!!  And I’ll get back to that in a second.

First let’s talk about the tasting room itself.  It’s super cute with a couple great outdoor areas to enjoy a glass of wine or can of bubbly.  We were immediately welcomed when we walked in and while the other two people walked down this super cool secret hallway to the members tasting area (yes we snuck down there later, with permission, of course) we hung out with Craig interrogating him about this Adulting sparkling wine.

And here’s what we learned…

They have three different sparkling wines:  White, Rose and Red.  The white sparkling wine is basically a spin on their “normal” wines.  One of their most well known whites, is Shepards Mark is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier.  To create Adulting Sparkling White, they blended Roussanne, Marsanne, Sauvignon Blanc AND added BUBBLES!

#justaddbubbles Yep…that’s exactly what they do.  And quite frankly I loved it.  The other two canned wines are an exact match of the still version.

  • The sparkling rose: a blend of Merlot, Syrah, Counoise, Sangiovese, Grenache
  • The red: a Cabernet Sauvignon backed blend.

Side note:  I had a friend who once tried to do this to a bottle of wine with her soda stream and it was a colossal failure…so you should probably leave it to the pros!

Ok, back to this wine tasting experience.

One thing I loved was the tasting experience…Side by side, we were tasting the two “versions” of the wine which was a lot of fun.  And, of course, I loved the bubbly versions of all of them the best, the still versions were quite tasty too.

Everyone there was super friendly even when we made our way down the fun hallway to the members only tasting area.  What a nice, cozy area to enjoy your free tastings and pick up your club wines.

Since I left with a case of cans of Adulting, we didn’t have to pay the tasting room fee of $20 and I also received a discount on my bubbly.  So, each bottle equivalent of bubbly came to about $15 which is very reasonable.

I should note that their website does mention that you should make an appointment and we did not and we came barreling in to see what this Adulting was all about.  And two other sets of people also came in without appointments, so maybe just call ahead to be sure.

Alexandria Nicole Cellars earned an A- for our tasting room experience. This is definitely a place to put on your list when you’re in the area.

You can find them at 3 locations. We were in Woodinville which is open daily: Monday-Saturday 11-5, Sunday 12-5pm.

Here are just a few of the ways you can get in touch with the awesome people at Alexandria Nicole Cellars: visit their website, or follow them social media: Instagram and Facebook.
