We’ve got some fun girl’s night in ideas to help you change things up a bit. While, we too, love a good evening of popping bubbly and catching up, sometimes we want to do something different.

So, in honor of National Girl’s Night In, here are our favorite ways to celebrate.

There’s Always A Reason

As with all things at Bubbly Side of Life, there is always a reason to celebrate!  We don’t ever recommend waiting to you reach that final goal or until the situation is perfect for celebrating, rather embrace the moments as they come.

Fun girl's night in ideas complete with matching cozies!

We will use any excuse to get together!  Yes, any excuse!  In fact, I often look at the Reasons to Celebrate calendars we created and use those random reasons as our excuse.

No, technically you do not need a reason to celebrate, but I love having one.  If you haven’t heard of our theory of the Celebration Effect, you soon will!

So gather your girlfriends and get ready for a fabulous night with these fun girl’s night in ideas!

Fun Girl’s Night In Ideas

Pairing Parties

If you’ve been following Bubbly Side of Life for any amount of time, you know that we love a good pairing party.  This simply means that we choose a food and several different bubbly options and sit around, eat and drink.  And sometimes we get all official too and rank our pairings.

Fun ideas for girl's night in pairing parties made easy

We have done several pairings:  potato chip, pretzels, pizza, and Mac and cheese.  Because bubbly is a natural palate cleanser, you really can choose anything you like.  And bubbly does like greasy, fatty foods, so it’s a good excuse to splurge on foods you wouldn’t normally indulge in.

Pairs Well with Bubbly

Sometimes for girl’s night in, we don’t want a huge planned out pairing party and we love a good spread of munchies, so we will put out a variety of snacks that pair well with sparkling wine.

Nuts

  • Almonds
  • Cashews
  • Salted peanuts

Cheese

  • Brie
  • Cheddar
  • Goat
  • Machego
  • Parmesan crisps
  • Fried Chicken
  • French fries

Bubbly Cocktails

Another fun girl’s night in idea is making bubbly cocktails.  With a big selection of liquor and, of course, bubbly, it’s fun to pretend you’re a mixologist and create fun, new bubbly cocktails.

If you prefer more of a bubbly cocktail theme for the night, grab our bubbly cocktail guide here.  Some of these recipes have never been shared anywhere else and, of course, we included our most popular bubbly cocktails as well.

Make you Own Pizza Bar

And one of our most fun girl’s night in ideas especially if you have kids hanging around because it’s super easy.  Super fun. And super yummy!

And let’s face it, bread + cheese + bubbly, how can you go wrong?

You can make this as easy or as complicated as you like. The best part is that everyone gets their pizza exactly how they like it. If that isn’t a reason to celebrate I don’t know what is!

Here’s my favorite recipe for homemade pizza sauce.  Just know that you need a few hours since this needs to cook down slowly. I suggest making it ahead of time and storing it for a day or two in the fridge.

And if you’re like me and don’t always plan that far in advance, you can always buy pre-made pizza sauce.

I love using Boboli or Trader Joe’s pizza crusts, but there are so many options.  If you are really ambitious you can make pizza crust ahead as well.

And now for the fun, toppings. Here’s a list to get you started. Don’t forget to add some that think outside the box as well.

Chartreaterie Boards

No girl’s night in is complete without dessert, right?

Inspired by Jenny Cookies we’re going to whip up a Chartreaterie Board. Which is a fancy term for sticking a bunch of treats on a board with some dips and calling it dessert.

You can fill it with chocolate covered cookies, peanut butter filled pretzels, candies, brownie crisps, wafers, toasted coconut granola bark, s’mores, coconut crispy rolls, Belgian cookies and chocolate covered pretzels.

We added peanut butter, cookie butter, and fudge sauce for dipping all our tasty treats with. There is no right or wrong way to create this. Just follow your heart… or maybe your taste buds.

The perfect dessert for any girl's night in

Tips:

  • Trader Joe’s is the best place to gather all of the goodies for this deliciousness.
  • If you don’t have a charcuterie board, a cutting board, a cookie sheet, or a platter works just as well.  We whipped this one up at our AirBnB for our girl’s getaway.

With the holidays quickly approaching, themed chartreaterie boards are a lot of fun as well.  Think all things fall, winter, pumpkin, peppermint…the ideas are endless. In fact, how about an entire fall or winter themed tasting party to add to the list of fun girl’s night in ideas?

Bubbly Tasting

With all of the bubbly we’ve tasted, we love to share it with our friends and a bubbly tasting is the perfect girl’s night in activity.

It’s super easy to prepare, all you need is:

  • Tasting mats
  • 3-4 bottles of bubbly
  • Oyster crackers
Bubbly Side of Life bubbly tasting mat perfect for your girl's night in

You can pour them one at a time and taste them or you can pour them all at once and taste a little at a time to really compare the flavors.  There is no right or wrong way to taste and it is a fun way to narrow down the type of bubbly you like best.

Now, if you’re thinking you have no clue how to do this, we have done all the work for you and will be happy to host it for you, virtually, of course.  The perfect excuse to plan a fun girl’s night in!

The Bubbly

With all these fun girl’s night in ideas for the food, what about the bubbly?  If you’re like us and enjoy smaller wineries, we have reviewed several on the blog.

As of the time we are publishing this blog, check out the following for amazing shipping deals on very reasonably priced (and delicious) bubbly:

And of course, if you don’t have time for shipping, we have your go-to grocery store bubbly list.

Girl’s Night In + Kids

We know it’s not always easy to ditch the kids for a fun girl’s night in, so when this is the case, we have included the kids.  How much fun for them to pair fun foods with sparkling grape juice!  We always buy all three: white, rosé and red and make them their own scorecard and let them play and pair with the adults.

Pairing parties with kids

If you’re not doing a pairing party, mocktails is a great way to go to make the kids feel a bit more special.  You can grab a few of our recipes or create a mocktail bar and allow them to create their own concoctions.

Girl’s Night In Supplies

My new favorite place to check out every time I am there for supplies to have on hand for any impromptu girl’s night in is the Target dollar section.  Of course, if you’re anything like me, you’ll buy it and forget about it.

And the other place I frequent, of course, is Amazon.  And we continue to round up our favorite shopping lists at the Bubbly Side of Life shop.  Hopefully that will help to make your shopping trip easier.

Get Out Your Calendar

With all these fun girl’s night in ideas, we hope you have your calendars out and are ready to schedule the next one.  Whether it’s in person or virtually, or maybe a combo of both, we need our girlfriends, so don’t put this off…there’s always a reason to celebrate and the time is now.
